Writer/director/ cinematographer Rachael Lucas and producer Anthony Lucas-Smith narrate a comprehensive account of the trials and tribulations endured during the making of the Bondi Tsunami movie. Compulsory viewing for all aspiring filmmakers.
The “Australian Tour Highlights” footage follows the next phase of the Bondi Tsunami story as the film makers and cast member Taki Abe, take their cottage industry movie on 50 town east coast Australian Road Tour. Commencing with a montage of Bondi Tsunami’s celebrated coverage in the Australian media, the movie premieres in the remote western desert town of Cobar, before retracing the Pacific Hwy and heading down to Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. Featuring comments by JJJ’s Megan Spencer, and vox pop comments from the audience, this section of the DVD will challenge ones image of exactly who the typical Bondi Tsunami fan might be!

The CD Soundtrack was produced by Melbourne producer/ musician Hamish Marr in conjunction with Bondi Tsunami director Rachael Lucas and features original Japanese sound bites and music from the Bondi Tsunami movie. |
“We wanted the soundtrack to work as a stand alone piece, for people who may not have seen or may never see the Bondi Tsunami movie” says Marr. “We also wanted to bring back some of the elements of the classic vinyl LP soundtracks from the 60’s and 70’s, by including some of Shark’s sound bites from the movie”.
The Bondi Tsunami CD soundtrack follows Shark’s surreal mind trip through a sublime dreamscape of sounds including soundscape, dub, surf guitar, sampled jazz breaks and beats, Hawaiian, rockabilly, country, dub, Japanese pop, and 80's electronica. It is this unique combination of the dark and satirical iconoclastic elements that has made the Bondi Tsunami soundtrack one of the most sort after Australian soundtracks in recent years.
